The black fabric braided cover is lighter than a stainless steel braid and much less expensive than aramid. This hose also features a special barrier layer that minimizes vapor penetration — no more gas smell in the garage!PRO-B 2000 Nylon Braided Hose – constructed with a braided nylon outer shield for abrasion resistance and a Lighter weight.  Easier to assemble than PRO-B1000 steel hose with less abrasive outer shielding that will not cut your hands up like the PRO-B1000 Series hose, A Flexible stainless steel inner core for superior strength embedded in the Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) synthetic rubber liner.
